A dynamic (complex) character is mainly the main characters.
They usually have many different character traits about them.
They are interesting, and they are the characters that you really connect with.

Direct characterization is a method wherein the author tells the reader about a character.
Indirect characterization requires the reader to make an inference about the character by examining: words of a character, a physical description of a character, the thoughts of a character, and the thoughts, actions and words of other characters.
