What are iFarm Teams? Not an incubator – not an accelerator A new approach for innovation transfer that uses multi-disciplinary and diverse teams of creative people with common interests and passions to help to identify a pathway from the lab to the marketplace for a real invention

Who Can Participate? Stanford students Faculty Staff Alumni Other qualified individuals

Why Participate? For Students/Post Docs/Faculty/Staff: get hands-on experience moving a new technology towards commercial reality learn about intellectual property, licensing, market and opportunity assessments Work with terrific team members and mentors on something that may be brought forward for society’s use and benefit

December 13 iFarm Mixer Session Finale: Mingle with the fellow iFarm teams, inventors from the session projects, OTL associates, and speakers.

Rules The iFarm Team program is completely voluntary; there is no compensation for participation; Team members must identify themselves as iFarm Team Program volunteers when introducing themselves to Stanford inventors. The Stanford inventions remain the property of the University. Improvements to existing inventions would be governed by the University’s IP policy (Note: Focus of program is not inventing). The iFarm Team members are expected to commit to participating for 4 months and attend group meetings. Stanford may use the iFarm Team work product to try to license the technology.
