Our volunteer-based K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire kids to dream big and reach their potential. 3 JA Fellows Overview Teams of 20 – 25 Students Conceptualize Capitalize
Inspires young people to embrace innovation and develop 21st century workforce readiness skills and the framework to reach their full potential. Teams of 20 – 25 Students Conceptualize Capitalize Manage PROGRAM BEGINS Fist Week of October 2014 Students and volunteers meet one day a week 3pm – 5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday (high school location times may differ) PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Business Showcase, Shark tank Competition and Company of the Year Year End Celebration JA’s pinnacle program Inspires young people to embrace innovation and develop 21st century workforce skills and the framework for students to reach their full potential Fellows gain real world experience working in teams of 18 – 20 students to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage a small business Review program meeting times, start date, and program culmination

STRANAHAN HIGH SCHOOL Entrepreneurial Business Club Wanted:  Driven, forward-thinking 9th-12th grade students to join: Premier Business Leadership opportunity as part of the JA Fellows Program. Students will run their own company in a New Stranahan High School entrepreneurial Business Club Contact: Edward A. Steinlauf:

Student roles and responsibilities To be an active engaged member of the team To show up to scheduled meetings To follow proper procedure if running late or absent Regularly check s Maintain accurate record keeping Complete homework assignments in preparation for the next meeting BRING A PRODUCT IDEA TO KICK OFF MEETING

18 After School Sessions: October 2014 – February 2015 Officer Training: November, 2014 Shark Tank: December, 2014 Volunteer Networking Breakfast: January, 2015 Annual Competition: March, 2015 Year End Celebration: March, 2015 Each March student companies and individual students compete in our annual competition. Winners receive monetary gifts, gift certificates, and scholarships Winners are announced at our end of the year celebration JA Fellows have business acumen and creativity.
