Beat (meter) 6 = Six beats per measure 8 = Eighth note gets the count There are two pulses in each measure

Rhythm Sixteenth Notes = ¼ of a beat each Dotted Quarter Notes = 1 and ½ beats

Tempo Ritardando = to get slower Accelerando = to get faster
