Education Application and effect of ICT

ICT ICT is widely used in schools, colleges and universities, both to help students learn and for management of the institution. Now many student are learn how to use ICT at school or colleges. ICT is a widespread of using ICT in education. Internet and web are invaluable tools for researching and gathering data.

Virtual learning environment help student access a range of specific learning resource in school, university. Computer-aided learning is a software helps student learn specific skills. (VLEs) Such as black board and Moodle, have range of a different function that help teacher to teach and support the student with they studies.

Learning resources can be made easily available Study at any time Break off their studies and return to them Learning sources can be well organized Wikis, blogs, podcasts web links and glossaries Digital drop boxes Grade Grade profiles

Computer-assisted learning(CAL) is also know as computer-aided instruction(CAI) can be generally describe as the use of ICT to help students to further their skills, knowledge and understanding of a specific part of a subject. CAI programs are usually designed to develop a very narrow range of skills, knowledge and understanding.

Drill and practice This type of CAL is used to complement a teacher’s instruction- to reinforce old lessons rather than teach a new one. Computer are generate as a random question and student required to answer them. This has been found to be approach where the material can be memories.

Tutorials These are self-instructional programs designed to introduce and teach new material to student. The computer acts like a tutor and allows student to move. Many tutorial programs can assess a student’s competence level and adjust the course accordingly. They are very useful for introducing and reviewing new topic.

Simulation These predict the outcome of a real-life situation by using a computer-based model of the situation. Simulation is one of the most effective CAL tools available for teaching students since it provides the opportunity to vary situation in the order to see different outcomes without any risk to the student or wastage of materials.

Computer-assisted learning CAL can provide immediate feedback to students, who are able to tell immediately whether they understand the tropics. CAL enable to student to recognize their own weakness and provide the opportunity to work on strengthening them. Most CAL courseware encourages student by display a congratulatory message for each correct response.

School information management system (SIMS) are used to help with the day to day running of school. They can be used for various purposes to store student record , to produce report, to manage book loans from the school library, to construct the school timetable and for many other task
