Holland Park Primary School Year Ahead Meeting Year 2

The purpose of the meeting: To introduce you to the team of staff in year 2. To provide information about the school and a typical school day. To provide specific information about year 2. To provide parents/carers with an opportunity to ask questions.

The Year 2 team: 2A – Miss Austin 2H – Miss Hunt T.A: Mrs Griggs T.A support: Miss White Miss Parsons & Miss Davies Miss Austin Year 1/2 Phase Leader

The school day: Children arrive in school at 8:40am. Members of staff will be waiting by the 2H classroom to take any small messages that need to be passed onto class teachers. For anything big, the class teachers appreciate an appointment being made via the school office. KS1 break time is at 10.15am. All children are provided with a healthy snack.

The school day: Lunch break begins at 12:15pm and finishes at 1:15pm. The school day ends at 3:00pm for KS1 children where parents and carers will be able to collect their children by the year 2 classrooms. We understand that sometimes situations occur that mean you may be running late and for those rare occasions at 3:15pm your child is taken to a supervised classroom where they can wait in more comfort. If you have arranged for someone different to pick up your child, such as in the case of play dates, we ask that you inform the school office as we will only release children to their parents unless notified differently.
