ALT Collaboration Plans Local Mission Delivery and the National Strategy Area Officers Area Officers have a strategic role in working with the local mission expression leaders to help them develop and implement local action plans. These action plans will reflect their unique local missional context and be consistent with the national mission, vision and strategy. Area Officers will review the local action plans in their area and identify common key themes. Further, the Area Officer will identify opportunities for collaboration to enhance the mission to share the love of Jesus, by caring for people, creating faith pathways, building healthy communities and working for justice. Divisional plan ALT Collaboration Plans Corps plans Chaplaincy plans Social & Community mission plans Mission Enterprise plans (tbc) Area Leadership Teams led by AOs On the basis of the local action plans, the Area Officer will work with the Area Leadership Team (ALT) to develop an ALT Collaboration Plan. The ALT Collaboration Plan will not be ‘another plan’ but a synthesis of priority actions which will strategically enhance the mission in that area. ALTs will collaborate to integrate services and deliver holistic mission; build supportive relational networks; share innovative ideas; and coordinate expertise and resources. The Area Officer will encourage appropriate ways for each expression to live out holistic mission and address the physical, spiritual and socio-emotional needs of people. Review, support and accountability Area Officers endorse and Divisional Leaders approve the local action plans (in consultation with the Area Officer) and ensure they are aligned with the national strategy and divisional plans. The plans will also be reviewed by the line managers of the Social and Community mission expressions. Aspects of local action plans that are not shared by other mission expressions on the ALT will be supported by the Area Officer meeting with the relevant mission expression leaders. The Area Officer will look to share innovative initiatives and implementation strategies from other areas across Australia. Area Officers will work with all mission expression leaders to track and evaluate their local action plans. These plans are working documents that will be reviewed and revised on an ongoing basis. As the leader of mission in the area, the Area Officer will be accountable to their Divisional Leaders to ensure mission expressions progress their local action plans. The Area Officer will also be accountable to their Divisional Leaders for the ALT collaboration to enhance and strengthen these local action plans in the area. Australia
