What would the elements of that narrative be? A focus on School Improvement and the essential elements in support of this: diocesan leadership framework, contemporary pedagogy, professional learning communities model, enhancing our professional culture. Strengthening teacher capacity Building a culture of self-reflection as evidenced in the new School Review model Improved accountability processes Endeavouring to operate in a more integrated, interdependent way within the CEO and with other diocesan agencies. 4 Theme for 2014 Self, School, System: Learning by doing, learning for transformation. Transformation is significant, systematic and sustained change that ensures success for all students in all settings. (Caldwell & Spinks, 2013)

5 What is suggested by our theme?
Enhanced alignment - teacher, school, system Individual and collective responsibility Collaboration, trust, support, interdependence Shared vision, common purpose Distributed leadership, teacher leadership Action orientation, learning as the focus, capacity building, encouraging innovation Implementation phase (following developmental stage), echoes Bishop Michael’s Pastoral letter: “the Assembly process is not limited by what others might do The reform of the Church starts in you and me.” Striving for significant, systematic and sustained change that ensures success for all students in all settings
