The Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and commitment of its Foundation Partners, in particular those individuals who have been involved in its inception and development, and those who have contributed their time to the production of this Strategic Plan.

A translational nursing and midwifery research centre that is facilitating optimal health and welfare of communities
Mission
To lead high impact nursing and midwifery research, and the application of evidence into practice within the healthcare system for the benefit of communities and society

Humanity: The Centre will build and promote the qualities that reflect the societal benefit of nursing and midwifery, and the difference nurse and midwives can make to the health and welfare of the community.

The Centre will develop and sustain entrepreneurial, cross-disciplinary relationships to bring the health sector and other sectors together to support the translation of research into nursing and midwifery practice and navigating a better future for the community.
Global:
The Centre will establish a global network of research partners that foster creativity, innovation and excellence to address some of healthcare’s great challenges locally, nationally and internationally.

15. Who we are:
Research Objective 1: develop research that informs future workforce development and planning.
Research objective 2: work in partnership with healthcare providers and other stakeholders, to develop and test research programs that build a sustainable workforce capacity & culture to deliver appropriate care to disadvantaged populations.
What we do:
Research objective 3: to understand what modifications of the roles of nurses and midwives are required and how best to implement change
Research objective 4:
In partnership with clinical services, develop, test and evaluate nursing and midwifery-led models of care. As part of this process, establish a standardised methodology for evaluating such services

In partnership with the ANMF and other key stakeholders, build capacity in areas where the RBRC can lead new research in BPGs program evaluations
Research objective 6:
Establish a centre of research excellence focused on implementing , testing and refining a system for measuring patient-reported predictors
Research objective 7:
Identify opportunities where nursing and midwifery can lead research and evaluation initiatives focused on implement system or technological innovation that has the potential to make a significant impact on health outcomes, access and equity of care and the cost of care.
Research objective 8:
Partner with healthcare settings to support nursing and midwifery led research, and maintain a learning culture among nursing and midwifery staff through the integration of research into clinical education programs and clinical care.
