World Languages and Cultures 7th grade block 12 weeks Other blocks will be Physical Education and Keyboarding

Señora Verde aka Mrs. Green Graduate of OU 5th year at Brink Have 2 hours of 7th and 3 of 8th this year Have taught elementary, high school and adult classes Have 4 kids and 1st grandchild just born on Aug.6! Have also worked as a travel agent- love to travel! Also, love event planning- every day in class is an “event”!

WHAT will we learn? We will spend the most time on Spanish using basic vocabulary We will also learn a little French and have exposure to other languages such as German and Vietnamese. We will discuss cultures around the world- how they celebrate holidays, what they eat, etc. We will include art and music in our study.

HOW will be learn? We will use many visual aids. We will do all kinds of activities- songs, stories, games, worksheets, etc. We will have a few quizzes and projects. Participation will be essential! Each student will need to be attentive, cooperative, and contribute to the class.

What do I need? Something to write with Something to keep papers in Optional, something to color with- but I keep a class set Always appreciated: Tissues Dry erase markers Colored copy paper Candy for “rewards”
