Math & English Language Arts: We will be focusing on the Common Core State Standards and collaborating with the Math and English teachers to make sure we meet our students needs. We use the Blast model at our school, where students are divided into groups, where they receive direct instruction from the teacher as one of the stations, and independent work in the independent station. 5/3/2019

Homework: Any work that was not completed in class will be assigned as homework. Please check agendas and class website for due dates and special assignments! 5/3/2019

Grading System: 4 – Advanced: 4.00 – 3.40 Shows mastery of standards and exceeds expectations About 100% - 85% 3 – Proficient: 3.39 – 2.70 Shows mastery of all standards taught About 84% - 67.5% 2 – Basic: 2.69 – 2.00 Shows some mastery of standards taught About 67.4% - 50% 1 – NO PASS: 1.99 – 1.00 Shows little mastery of standards taught About 49% - 1% 5/3/2019

Daily Materials: Sturdy Backpack (not a purse or side messenger bag) Notebook or composition book School Agenda #2 Pencils & Erasers Crayons & Colored Pencils (NO MARKERS!!!) Reading Book for Silent Reading Sweatshirt or Sweater (It gets really cold in this room!) 5/3/2019

Attendance/Tardy Policies: PLEASE try not to be absent. Every day your child is absent, they are missing important instructional time and information!!!
