3 Tardy Policy Be in homeroom class by 8:35 1st tardy: student warning
2nd tardy: warning and parent contact 3+ tardies: Chill Out Referral third and each additional tardy Process begins again each 9 weeks

4 Grading Any late assignments are deducted ten points a day for the first four days. After four days, the work will not be accepted and you will receive a zero. Absent students need to see the teacher for making up work.

6 New Grading Scale New to Craven County this year is the 10 point grading scale. We will no longer follow the 7 point grading scale. A B C D F

7 Expectations All students come to class with required materials
Pay attention and be ready to learn Craven County School dress code policies are followed No gum on CAMPUS Follow all classroom and school rules

8 School Supplies Blue/black pen Pack of pencils Pencil sharpener
Dry erase markers Lots of index cards!!!! Paper Three 3-ring binders (1-2 inches) Three composition books (marble cover) Four packs of 5-count dividers (preferably write on tabs) Three hole punched, pocket folder Lots of glue sticks!!!! Markers or crayons or colored pencils One pencil pouch to keep in math class Lock purchase = $8

9 Classroom Consequences
Warning – Name on Board 2nd warning – Check by student’s name 3rd time - Chill-out/phone call home Silent Lunch Talking in hall Gum Disruptive cafeteria behavior Going to locker without permission Used at teacher discretion for minor offenses *extremely disruptive/disrespectful/dangerous behavior will result in an immediate office referral

10 Dress Code Follow the dress code from day one!
Refer to Student Handbook for details on our dress code policies. The policies will be discussed with the students during the first week of school. New Students after the first day should read the policies and ask teachers if they have questions.

11 Conferences We are available to meet with parents during the following times: Mondays :15 – 11:15 Wednesdays 10:30 – 11:30 Fridays 10:15 – 11:15 After school times can be arranged if needed. Please request conferences through team teachers this year. Please be prompt for your appointment time, if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late it may be best to reschedule. Thank you!

12 Teacher Websites All teachers have a website to benefit parents and students. These websites can be found on the Grover C. Fields website, under the Faculty page. All websites are updated at least weekly with the following information: assignments, due dates, etc.
