Autumn One: Once Upon a Book Nursery Autumn Term One Overview Welcome to a brand new academic year full of inspirational experiences. The year will begin with one of our favourite books Titch, a young boy who shares some of his experiences with us through the text. Through different areas of learning, children will have opportunities to talk about themselves using the text as a model. This will develop their confidence in speaking about themselves to others and help them to feel comfortable in their new environment. It will also allow us to get to know the children and for them to get to know one another. Communication and Language Physical Development Personal, Social and Emotional Development including RRS Outdoor play, including tricycles and flying kites Story Telling Actions – sizes and objects Role Play Area - at home Watch animated version of Titch – use language of comparison to compare the book to the animation.
