Mrs. Garn’s Classroom News October 19, 2018 Mrs. Garn’s Classroom News This year for our Veterans Day assembly we are putting together a slideshow to connect our United community to the United States Military. We are asking that if your family is connected to a Veteran or Active Duty member of the military to please email in a picture of that person. Also include in the email the child's name, the relationship the military members has with the student here and the branch of service. All emails can be sent to Kerri.Ackler@united.k12.oh.us. Please add in the subject. VETERANS DAY. Service members and a guest are welcome. Please send the email and picture in by November 7th. Thank you!  Language Arts: We are still working on author’s craft moves in our writing pieces. Math: We will be working on strategies for solving number stories and exploring matches, lengths, and counting large numbers of items. Science: We will learning about how living things have basic needs and that they only live in an environment that meets their needs. Oct 23rd – First Grade Field Trip Oct 23rd – Fundraiser $ Due Oct 26th – Halloween Party Wear Orange & Black or your best Halloween shirt! (No costumes please! ) Oct 26th – End of the first 9 Weeks. Nov 6th – No School/Election Day Nov 9th – Veteran’s Day Assembly @ 2:00 Nov 14th – Picture Retake Day (If needed, please let me know. )
