Classroom News
Please send back the permission slip for the upcoming field trip to the Greensboro Museum. I still have 4 students who do not have permission to attend.
Thank you to the parents who were able to come to the classroom on Friday and help out with Halloween Centers.
Here are our book characters:
In math, we are adding double digit numbers using place value drawings.
In reading we will be exploring fables and looking for morals.
In writing, we will be doing a retell with our story from last week, A Bad Case of Stripes.
In social studies, Mrs. Kurkjian will be teaching her unit on mapping. We are excited to have her teach her first unit in our classroom. Ask your second grader what they are learning from her (starting Tuesday).

This week students will participate in the PTO sponsored “AR Store”. All students in our class have been reading and taking AR (Accelerated Reader) tests on books. They will get to spend their points
in the AR store on Thursday.
