Coming home today is a packet of First Grade Sight Words and a score sheet where I assessed you child’s sight word knowledge. If they are missing any, they are not circled. I will reassess at the end of November. Each child has a goal to how many more words they hope to know by the end of the month! Please practice these in addition to reading each night.
Language Arts: We have been working on telling information across our fingers before writing. Ask your child about it and have them teach you about the topic using this as an organizer. We will be working on elaborating our informational writing pieces.
Math: We will be working with frames and arrows to show skip counting as well as addition and subtraction. We will also be working on counting with calculators.
Social Studies: We are continuing to look at how meeting our needs has change over time. We will also look at how schools are different from long ago.
Report Card Envelopes Due- Be sure to sign the envelope and return it as soon as you can.
Nov 14th – Picture Retake Day (If needed, please let me know. )
Nov 16th – Find Your Voice Club 
Nov – No School - Thanksgiving Break
