UESL Efficiencies Change in Director’s position in FY19 from 1 FTE to .75 FTE, saving $15,000 in salary expenses. This will be continued in FY20 Switching the faculty contracts: 4 Full-time faculty AY contracts to Quarterly faculty contracts. This allows maximum flexibility to respond to enrollment levels as necessary. UESL program traditionally offered 5 levels. Since AY17-18 UESL program has offered 3-4 levels according to the enrollment of the quarter. This reduces the number of workload units significantly, as can be seen below: Winter, 2017 – 90 wlu Winter, 2018 – 80 wlu Winter, 2019 – 55 wlu Goods and services costs have been reduced

ROI on International Recruitment Continuity of AUAP program – 30 years ~4000 students Increase in UESL students who becomes matriculated students 100 students last 4 years International matriculated UG and GR students

ROI on International Recruitment Vietnam We have grown our numbers of students from Vietnam significantly, up to 81 Fall 2018 compared to 59 Fall 2017. We have visited Vietnam twice a year for the past 2.5 years to visit high schools, EducationUSA, and agents and we have participated in college fairs and have hosted new student admissions event. Based on IIE Open Doors, Vietnam is number 7 for place of origin for international students studying in the US, with 8.4% growth from previous academic year.

ROI on International Recruitment Brazil Based on IIE Open Doors we will also begin recruitment in Brazil, with potential EducationUSA Roadshow participation in April 2019. Brazil is ranked 10th country of origin for international students studying in the US and has seen 11.7% growth from the previous academic year. CWU currently has two students from Brazil.

ISSS Director Manage ISSS component of OISP with a focus on recruiting, admissions, insurance, programming, and advising operations; Marketing and Recruitment:  Coordinate recruiting and marketing plan for university matriculated and UESL student recruitment. Assist with international student recruitment marketing budget and forecasting. Act as the liaison between Student Affairs, Admissions and the Office of International Studies and Programs by providing information and feedback regarding the recruitment of international students. Advising and Admissions: Provide oversight and guidance for immigration advising. Advise the IARC (International Admissions and Registrar Committee). Provide oversight and guidance for international student admission. Insurance and Programming: Provide oversight and guidance for international student insurance process and implementation. Oversee the coordination of campus wide cultural programming for international and domestic students, staff, and faculty.
