Full-time, year-round office dedicated to the mobility and support of international students & scholars, study abroad participants, faculty and staff. Supports the internationalization of MU by forming partnerships, offering study abroad opportunities, welcoming and assisting international students and international scholars, as well as managing MU’s English Language Institute.

What to prepare…

6 Consider The Responsibilities - What is a Program Leader & what do they do? - What role does the IPS Office play?

7 When to go? Break periods – spring, summer, fall Incorporate into a semester class How long? Time abroad increases flight but take travel time there and back into consideration.

8 Credit vs. Non-Credit Credit
Additional costs so how does it benefit a student’s degree audit? All participants? Non-Credit - What is the program’s purpose and how does it benefit the participants? - How does offering the program help internationalize MU? Offer individual students credit?

9 Provider vs. Self Designed

Student Applications Include: Questionnaire Financial Responsibility Sign Off 1st Deposit (refundable?) Physical & Mental Health Form Conduct Record Review and more… Joint review between Program Leader and IPS Office

17 Step 5 Attend A Training Session with IPS Office
What this involves…
