Unit 2: Act. 2.4 - pictures on lesson slide 1.transfer - associating emotions with an ad, usually good feelings 2.bandwagon - everyone else has it, I should too! 3.avant-garde - be cool, one of the first or few to have a product 4.testimonials - people say good things about a product (often use famous people) 5.facts & figures - provable statements, statistics & percentages convince the buyer...can be misleading!!

Everyone else has it, so I should have it too!!(Pathos) Cool people have it, 1st to have it, only SOME have it (sense of being special)(pathos) People (normal or famous) say good things about product (ethos)

Statistics and percentages...but… numbers can be misleading!! (25% of what???) (Logos) Connect good or bad feelings with a product - feel emotions about a product (Pathos)
