FLOORBALL UNIHOCKEY

ORIGEN DEL FLOORBALL Floorball is a type of hockey, Developed in the 1960s and 1970s in USA. It was used at schools to teach the younger people so you do not need the ice skating or ice rink

THE AIM OF THIS SPORT The aim is to score a goal using a plastic stick. The group with the highest number of goals will be the winner Each team has 5 players and 1 goalkeeper on the court at a time.

Floorball is played within 40m*20m area called RINK THE RINK

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PLAY? A stick that is made up for: The shaft is the long section os the stick which includes the handle The blade is the part of the stick used to control the ball. It is flat and full of holes A plastic ball with holes

HOW LONG DOES THE MATCH LAST? The standard game is played in three 20 minute periods The game starts with a face off in the middle of the field

WHAT CAN YOU DO… Running, steering, dribbling and hitting the ball with both sides of stick Stopping and controlling the ball with the stick or the feet. Putting the stick inside the goal area Taking away the ball to the oponent player without touching the opponent stick The ball must also be received by a stick below knee level.

WHAT CAN’T YOU DO… Entering inside the goalkeeper area Ball can’t be controlled with hands or head. Kicking the ball to others Pushing to the opponent Stick can not be placed between the opponents leg
