2.  To play hockey you need to be fast and you need good hand-eye coordination.  You can only use the flat side of the stick.  You can’t use your feet to kick the ball.  You can only score inside the ‘D’( like a penalty box but in the shape of a D).  Don’t lift your stick above your head.  You cannot hit someone’s stick away to tackle them.

4.  This is how you hold a hockey stick, it is called a V grip.  It is called this because your arms are the in the shape of a V.  This is how you keep the ball in front of you when dribbling.  Your left hand must be at the top of the stick and your right hand must be about half-way down the stick.

5.  When you dribble with the ball you want to have it out in front of you so you have space for skills and the ball is stuck to your stick for control. You also want your left elbow to be up high so that you can keep the ball on your strong side.  When you are passing you push the ball on your strong side, you could also hit the ball. But first you must be side on to your target.

6.  This is a normal position that you would get into before hitting the ball. Both hands at the top of the stick, about to swing at the ball and hit it. You could also use a ‘clip hit’. It is similar to a normal hit but both your hands are half-way down the stick.
