B USINESS R ECOMMENDATIONS 4 Conley Design Studio History & Observations: Current operation is a restaurant with full service lunch and dinners Large seating capacity inside due to large bar area and counter seating. Current dining style is Formica counters with placemats, china service Business was established in 1957, loyal customer base from neighboring areas Core Customer- local residents, tourists and recommended families, average age is Special appearances by Celebrities keep customers coming back Current seating is tired and need of refinishing and reupholster, booths are laminate in wood grain and vinyl seats Currently lighting is fluorescent by day and pink bulbs in recessed down lights at night Wainscoting around the room and on booths is dated looking wood grain laminate, with chips Tabletop needs additional enhancements. Bar stools all match, light wood, newer than rest of décor Access to restaurant is excellent, main entrance and signage on main road is good exposure Parking in front of restaurant is adequate. New building color is recommended Hanging plants look dated Recommendations to Grampas Restaurant & Bakery based on site review and observations during peak meal times and owner feedback.

B USINESS R ECOMMENDATIONS 5 Conley Design Studio Recommendations: The food and menu are very successful. The interior décor is very dated in need of facelift. Competitive advantage of history in neighborhood is diminished when entering the store. Specific interior improvements are recommended: Refurbish existing chairs for interior dining room Increase Lighting with suspended Retro style Chandeliers, in color red to complement the interior, remove hanging plants. Remove vertical blinds and update to solar shades. Cover existing wood laminate wainscoting and counter fronts with cherry wood covering Add accent paint colors to dining bar area, reinforce sports theme started. Continue improvements into private dining space Expand on logo to create new style identity and branding to use with menu, signage and advertising, use bakery man shown on sign Update placemats with new logo and simplified menu Keep celebrity presence, competition is strong in neighborhood, it is a very competitive advantage Change exterior paint color, create new image with color scheme on outside, create exterior image that reflects interior image, i.e. Old Fashion Bakery Restaurant Recommendations to Grampas Restaurant is based on site review and observations during peak meal times and owner feedback.
