Step 1: Create an Enrollment Requirement Group
Breadcrumb: Curriculum Management/Enrollment Requirements/Enrollment Requirement Groups Click: Add a New Value
Click: Add button
Example: Setting up the pre- requisite for the course MICR 202. Enter: Data on the Course Requisite tab.
Click: On the Requisite Parameters tab. Change: The Connector type to OR. If you choose AND, the student must meet all the requirement line detail conditions. OR means the student only needs to meet one of details.
Click: On the Requisite Detail tab. Enter: Course information for MICR 202 as pre-requisites. Save button.
Click: On the Requisite Detail Parameters tab.
Step 2: Attach to the Course Catalog
Breadcrumb: Curriculum Management/Course Catalog/Course Catalog Enter: Subject Area and Catalog Number for the course you want to attach the pre- requisite to.
Click: The + sign in the upper right hand corner to add a new row. Enter: The effective date as the day before the semester starts. On the Offerings tab.
Scroll: To the bottom of the Screen. Click: On the magnifying glass to choose the requirement group you set up as the pre- requisite for MICR 202. Save button. Detail link.
Shows you the Enrollment Requisite Summary line by line.
Error message students get when requisites have not been met. Message comes from Long Description when creating the Enrollment Requirement Group.
Other examples
types of pre-requisites or co-requisites. You can create other types of pre-requisites or co-requisites. Wild card course line type. Specifies a range of courses based upon Subject Area and Catalog Number. For example, Wild Card Course of English 1##, where the range starts at any three digit English course beginning with 1. Specify as few or as many criteria that you want using the Academic Group, Subject and Catalog Nbr fields. Blank fields return all values.
You can choose from a variety of condition types.
Student Group Example: A student group is set up for those who test into Math 102 and Math 103. We used student groups to manage where students tested. Math example – a student group was set up for Math 102 and Math 103. If student tested into Math 102, we entered them in that student group. The Math 102 student group was attached as a pre-requisite for Math 103.

Example: Student must have a “C” grade or better in NANO 101 to register for NANO 102. The Long Description displays in the error when the student doesn’t meet the requisite.
Set: Requisite Parameters minimum GPA as 2.00.
Set: Requisite Detail with course NANO 101 as the pre-requisite.
