Gustar (To Like)
Things you like to do….. Use “gustar” to talk about the things you like to do. Ejemplo: I like to read We like to run.
How do we use it? “Gustar” is different… We don’t use gustar with the usual subject pronouns.

Gustar Pronouns Because you are using “gustar” pronouns, you don’t necessarily have to put a subject. If you want to put a subject, you have to write it differently.

Let’s Put It Together… Me gusta leer If you want to say “I like to read”… ONLY “INFINITIVES” can be used after this verb. ALWAYS use “GUSTA” (NOT GUSTAN) with infinitives.

A nosotros nos gusta correr. A los chicos les gusta comer. You could have also written them like this… A nosotros nos gusta correr. A los chicos les gusta comer. A Maria le gusta patinar.
How do we answer questions with “gustar”? Me gusta … ¿Qué te gusta hacer?
¿Te gusta bailar? Other Questions Sí, me gusta bailar. (Yes, I like to dance.) *nota: remember, “no” also means “don’t” No, no me gusta bailar. (No, I don’t like to dance.)
