You are going to learn how to express activities that people like to do.

2. GUSTAR (to like/be pleasing)

3. INFINITIVES
People like to do things: to run, to play, to rest, to listen to music, etc.
The recurring word from above is “to…”
“to”+ the verb = the infinitive form of verb
The infinitive form of a verb is the base form, the foundation
In Spanish, the infinitive forms are the endings “-ar, -er, -ir”

4. GUSTAR (to like/be pleased)
We’ve already learned some “gustar” expressions, and have been using them for the last weeks.

5. In Spanish, the infinitive forms are the endings “-ar, -er, -ir”
Spanish examples: correr, montar, mirar, etc.
To say that people like to do activities, use the following formula:

6. Example: Me gusta trabajar. Figurative: I like to work.
Translation:

Figurative: I like to work.

9. In order to Clarify or Emphasize
Add the word “a” then the person’s name or an IO pronoun (mí, ti, nosotras, etc)
