What are the main beliefs of Judaism? Notes #8

Judaism is the oldest known monotheistic religion practiced in the world today.

Judaism was founded by Abraham and developed in the Middle East, specifically around the area of Israel. Abraham

Jews, who practice Judaism, believe that Yahweh is the one true God and he chose the Jews to be his people. Hebrew people  Abraham making a covenant with God

Jews read the Torah, which is a sacred recording of laws for Jews to follow.

The Torah includes the Ten Commandments, which were given to the Jews by Moses and describe how people should behave.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS:

Jews worship in temples called synagogues, which are led by rabbis (who serve as spiritual leaders for Jews).
