Fitness Evaluation When assessing a person’s level of fitness, the following areas must be evaluated: Muscular endurance evaluation Flexibility evaluation Cardiovascular endurance Body composition Special considerations

Flexibility Evaluations Sit and reach (trunk extension) Back bend (trunk extension)

Evaluating Cardiovascular Endurance Measuring heart rate Determining the resting heart rate The pulse recovery step test

Body Composition Recommended ranges of body fat Body composition and athletes Determining muscle gain or loss

Recording Record keeping is essential to measuring individual progress in both athletic and nonathletic settings. Progress information can be recorded on a progress record.
