Wednesday, August 10, 2016 Homework for Parents It is so important to me that we work together as a team and know each other well! In order to start that off, I have a homework assignment for YOU!  In 1,000 words or less, write a letter that introduces your child to me. I get to know the “student” side of your child, but I know that there is much more to him/her. Please know that I am only reading it for content – I am not concerned with grammar or spelling, and it can be in any language! This assignment can be turned in as soon as it’s finished, but is due on Monday, August 15, 2015. Letters may be sent in with your student or emailed to the teacher. Even though there is a “due date,” I will accept these letters at any time during the year! Due: Monday, August 15th, 2016

Wednesday, August 10, 2016 Independent Reading Selection You will need to have a book with you at all times during 7th grade. These books will be used in both your reading class and your language arts class. You are free to choose whatever book you like for reading. You will have a Reading Performance Task due at the end of the first six weeks. We will go over the requirements for your project on Monday, but I wanted you to be aware that there will be a project coming up. Due: Monday, August 15th, 2016
