You must read 1 book of *200+ pages per 6 weeks and provide evidence that you have completed the reading.  Evidence will be in the form of a Reading Performance Task.
Due Dates:  Evidence of independent reading for each six-week period must be submitted on or before:
September 14, 2016         February 17, 2017
October 28, 2016              March 31, 2017
December 16, 2016          May 19, 2017

5. Monday, September 12, 2016 Reader’s Workshop Independent Study
During this time, you should work on your Reading Performance Task. This may include:
Reading your book (Be sure to take notes as you read! This will help you when it comes time to put together your Reading Performance Task.)
Reviewing the rubrics on the blog and ask individual questions as needed.
Visiting the Media Center to renew or check out a book. You will be on a 7 minute time limit!
Working on drafts and/or final product elements of your Reading Performance Task.
This time MAY NOT include:
Membean
Vocabulary
Working on items for another class
Working on any of our other assignments
Sleeping 
If at any point you are finished with your Reading Performance Task, you should move on to the next one!
