Bursaries and Grants 2015 In 2015 three research grants, and two student bursaries totaling $5,200 Total disbursements in student bursaries of $24,000 to 33 students since 2007 Total research grants of $35,446 to 23 applicants since 2005 Total CFSC/FCSS disbursements to date: $59,446.00

The Dale Johnson Fun Walk/Run/Roll Congratulations, Dale, on being chosen by your region as this year’s honouree and thank you for your support for this year’s Fun Walk/Run/Roll . Totals of amount raised and prize winners will be announced at the banquet. The Regional Trophy will also be presented. Will Manitoba make it three wins in a row? Good place to thank the regional group, particularly Michael for all their hard work in making this event a success.

Friends of the Foundation Initiative coming out of Manitoba ( Harold King and Ron Long) A newsletter to go out to past members and members emeritus outlining recent research and education in the field of spiritual /pastoral/religious care, interviews, regional events, fundraisers, etc. A way to reach out to people who are interested in CASC/ACSS but have lost contact The first newsletter to go out this spring 2016
The Harold and Doreen King Student Education Fund $50,000 Gift to the CFSC to be used for student education in the field of spiritual and religious care Details on how to access the fund are being developed presently – You may donate to this fund directly through the CFSC
Planned Giving Legacy Gift A way to ensure the future of spiritual health in diverse institutions in the larger community CFSC Secretary created a draft of the brochure Consulted with editor Andrea Nugent for critique and suggestions Presently the target audience will be our members First step to create an e-copy for our website Keep your eyes (and hearts) open
Past-Presidents’ Challenge Last year Harold King sent a letter to past presidents of CAPE/CAPPE/CASC challenging them to match his $500 donation to the CFSC. Funds raised: $1,300. The challenge has been taken up by Don Misener this year who again approached past-presidents to match his $500 donation and to date he has raised $1,500. Any donation will be gratefully accepted. Don is also encouraging past-presidents to share the highlights of their presidencies with the Memories project.
