2 Care Today - Character Tomorrow
The Foundation logo, incorporates our NAJA five point crown. The five points symbolize Charity, Youth, Health, Service, and Leadership; they represent the ideals of Junior Auxiliary. Care Today - Character Tomorrow NAJA Foundation, P.O.Box 1873, Greenville, MS 38702

3 the women of NAJA began providing
aid and comfort to the less fortunate Junior Auxiliary was founded on the principles of helping children and making a difference in their lives. In 1941, there was a group of women, much like each of you, who had a heart for the less fortunate and desired to address the needs within their hometown communities.

Our NAJA slogan defines our character by caring for NAJA today. . . We each must be active participants in caring about the future well being of NAJA. …the character of NAJA will change tomorrow.”

The role of the Foundation is to receive and manage donations to benefit the services of NAJA and its Chapters

MISSION STATEMENT The NAJA Foundation supports financially the educational, leadership, and cultural programs for NAJA members and to optimize community service by NAJA Chapters

10 The NAJA Foundation is for EVERYONE

11 BOARD OF TRUSTEES The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees
The Foundation Board meets in January and July of each year.

12 Nine Trustees are appointed
by the NAJA Ex-Officio to serve for 4 years with terms staggered to expire each year

The NAJA President and Ex-Officio also serve as Trustees of the Foundation

14 REQUIREMENTS TO SERVE AS A TRUSTEE
1. Associate or Life Member 2. Previous NAJA Standing Committee Member, Chapter Officer, Chapter Support Coordinator, or member of the NAJA Board of Directors

15 Members of the NAJA Board of Directors may not
serve concurrently on the Foundation Board of Trustees

The Foundation realizes that attending AEC provides important educational value to Chapters; therefore, the AEC Grant was established to help with registration fees for Chapters undergoing difficulties

19 AEC Grants provide AEC registration fees for up to 3 Members per Chapter

20 The Foundation supports the National Service Project
and the impact it has on the future of a child; therefore, the NSP Grant was established

NSP GRANTS National Service Project Grants assist Chapters with the funding of their Child Welfare Projects

TO DATE THE NAJA FOUNDATION has assisted the Association and its CHAPTERS in helping others by giving them over The amount given to Chapters will need to be updated twice a year. The amount of the FACE Grants is actually doubled b/c we pay $100 but give them a $195 value so to make things easy, just double the amount given for the FACE Grants and add it to the totals. $105,000
