1 National Junior Honor Society Leadership Positions
The National Junior Honor Society has five leadership roles within our organization: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Historian.

2 President’s Roles and Responsibilities
Runs all meetings (bringing them to a start and finish). Serves as the liaison between the advisors and the members Works with the chapter advisors to organize NJHS activities, fundraisers, and projects Oversees the other officers and ensure that they are delivering their expected duties and upholding the standards of NJHS Participates in the planning and implementation of the Spring Induction Ceremony.

3 Vice President’s Roles and Responsibilities
Completes the duties of the President in case of the President’s absence. Helps the President with meetings and will help to keep general order. Take member attendance at meetings. Works with the President to help organize NJHS activities, fundraisers, and projects. Helps the President oversee community service opportunities (group and individual) and maintain the records for each member. Helps in the planning and implementation of the Spring Induction Ceremony.

4 Treasurer’s Roles and Responsibilities
Manages and record the financial affairs of the organization. Maintains in a notebook an accurate financial record of all expenditures and income. Becomes aware of financial aspects of proposed projects. Presents financial status reports at the meetings when called upon. Gives the secretary a copy of the financial reports. Makes recommendations for approval or disapproval of a financial activity while being discussed. Works with the advisors on filling out forms for money making projects. These must be approved by the principal ahead of time.

5 Secretary’s Roles and Responsibilities
Completes the duties of the Vice President in the case of the Vice President’s absence. Is responsible for typing up the minutes of each meeting, submitting them to the advisors for approval, and then distributing a copy of the minutes to each member. Oversees the creation of posters for NJHS functions, fundraisers, and activities. Responsible for written correspondence to and from the chapter, such as thank you letters to thank people that help, volunteer, or donate time, money or items to NJHS activities.

6 Historian Roles and Responsibilities
Complete the duties of the Secretary in case of the Secretary’s absence. Responsible for memorializing and promoting NJHS ideals, activities, fundraisers, and functions. Takes pictures of events, meetings, and functions, and will be our liaison with yearbook club. Will assist the Secretary in overseeing the creation of posters for NJHS functions, fundraisers, and activities.
