Priorities during the Greek Presidency: Human Resources Group Priorities during the Greek Presidency: Discuss on the models of career development in the public sector of EU member-states. - We have assign EIPA to conduct a survey on the career development systems in EU public administrations Make the relevant information on mobility available to the different services, and urge the national administrations to update the site of the commission, for the better information of citizens.

…/… Follow closely the implementation of the National Contact Points Network. Present the common training needs and the relevant efforts of the Schools and Institutes of Public Administration. - The Greek National Centre of Public Administration will carry out a survey on the methodology followed for the definition of training needs in the EU member-states. - The Presidency is organising a Meeting of Directors of Schools and Institutes of Public Administration.

Innovative Public Services Group Priorities during the Greek Presidency: Organize the promotion of benchmarking activities. Launch an electronic newsletter covering innovating public services issues. Start up the preparation procedures for the 3rd Quality Conference in full co-operation with the upcoming presidencies and the organising country.

…./… Discuss on the preparation of an “expert meeting” on performance management. For this purpose the Greek Presidency will conduct a survey on the existing performance measurement systems in EU member-states and will update the index with the most used performance indicators in EU member-states

E-government Working Group Priorities during the Greek Presidency: Work on the strategy and methodology for secure government-wide communication. Regarding the Public Key Infrastructure it will focus on digital signature for public employees’ use. -The Presidency will carry out a survey on the applied policies, systems and methods of digital signature in EU countries.

…/… Debate on the economic aspects and implications of e-services applications and practices. Following the survey of the Danish Presidency, we will study the new trends in national strategies and approaches regarding budgeting and measuring the value of e-services applications in EU countries.

Better Regulation Expert Group Priorities during the Greek Presidency: Inform the Ministers on the reforms and initiatives taken or planned to be taken by member-states in accordance to the principles and actions of the “Mandelkern Report” and the Commission’s “Action Plan for Better Regulation” Suggest practical measures that may contribute to the progress of relevant issues.

…/… For this purpose we will conduct a self evaluation process regarding regulatory reform policies in EU member-states. We will study the implementation of actions like: - The adoption of the regulatory impact assessment, - The organisation of public consultation, - The simplification and codification programmes, - The monitoring mechanisms

…/… Organisation of a meeting of representatives of National Parliaments in order to identify the linkages between the Better Regulation initiatives of Parliaments and those of Governments.
