2 February 2002 – IPSG Meeting in Madrid
BACKGROUND November DG Meeting in Brugge: “develop a practical but simple way of presenting reforms within the public services to encourage the cross learning among the Member States” February 2002 – IPSG Meeting in Madrid Sweden proposal on the Newsletter May 2002 – DG Meeting in La Rioja The DG welcome the proposal of the IPSG to produce a newsletter and ask the WG to go ahead on an experimental basis along the lines suggested. It should start as soon as possible.

3 November 2002-DG Meeting in Elsinor
an electronic newsletter covering public administration issues is launched during the Greek presidency. Efforts will be put into avoiding a duplication of other regular sources of information on issues of Public Administration. The editorial group consists of the troika countries of IPSG. The public accessible web site of the Public Administration Network – based on CIRCA – will host the newsletter. Preparation of the final documents is the responsibility of all members of the Public Administration Network.

9 GREEK PRESIDENCY cases from 8 countries till now: Austria, Belgium,Denmark,Finland,France, Holland, Italy,Spain 1st Step: selection of cases from the rest of the countries till end of March 2003 2nd Step: The first edition will be uploaded on CIRCA in the mid of April 2003

the “openness” of the newsletter Specific standards should be established for publishing specific initiatives not a learning tool but an information tool the value and the evaluation of the newsletter will be assessed during the Dutch Presidency
