MLA FORMAT

Formatting All Pages Double space throughout the entire paper 1 inch margins on all sides 12 pt, Times New Roman or Arial font Header on right hand side that includes your last name and page number.

Formatting the First Page On left hand side write name, teacher’s name, class title and period, and date; each should be on a separate line. Title should be centered; write title in same font and size as the rest of the paper. Do not underline, bold, or put quotation marks. Only italicize, underline, or use quotations when referring to other texts within your title; articles use quotations, books use italicize or underline.

Citation for unknown author If the author is unknown use title in parenthetical citation. Remember to use quotes for articles or italicized for title of books.
