AIM: Should the electoral college system for president be changed?

Step 1: The Popular Vote In November of an election year—each state holds election for president. Citizens vote for a “ticket” of candidates that includes a candidate for P and VP

Step 2: Outcome of the vote in each state determines the electors who make the actual choice for President and VP. Total number of Electoral Votes: 538 Total number needed to win: 270

If no candidate wins a majority in the electoral college OR if there is a tie, the House of Reps. Selects the president http://www.270towin.com/
