Women’s Liberation Movement Rise in feminism- women and men should be socially, politically, and economically equal National Organization for Women (NOW)- women’s rights organization Equal Rights Amendment- proposed to Constitution to promise equal treatment for men and women in all spheres of life, needed 38 states to ratify, fell 3 short.

Roe V. Wade Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal Voted 7-2 Stated that it violated privacy rights Women have a right to protect their body
