Conservative political activist who denounced women’s liberation as “a total assault on family, marriage, and children.”
Worked to defeat the ERA.

Dedicated to increasing Latinos’ awareness of their history and culture.
Also worked on quality of life issues such as reducing poverty and discrimination as well as providing other opportunities for Latinos.

Federal agency devoted to protecting the “entire ecological chain.”
Cleaned up and protected the environment as well as limited and eliminating pollutants that posed a risk to public health.
