Reviewing the 5 Pillars Faith Prayer Charity (Alms) Making the Muslim profession of faith: “There is no other God but God and Muhammad is his prophet” Must be recited in Arabic. Qur’an continued…. Consists of 114 chapters made up of verses. Verses discusses: Nature of God Creation The human soul Moral, legal, and family issues. Much of the language is very poetic.

The Sunnah Traditions of the prophet; the words and actions of Muhammad. Guidelines for living a proper life. Helps interpret parts of the Qur’an. (like a commentary) The written version of the Sunnah is called the Hadith. Example passage (DON’T COPY): “ The one who eats his fill while his neighbor goes without food is not a believer. God does not look upon your bodies and appearances. He looks upon your hearts and your deeds.”

Analyze the Chart then answer the questions on a piece of paper. What are some similarities between the three religions? (2) What are some differences? (2) After studying the chart, what surprised you the most? Explain. (1) Do not copy the questions. # your answers. Answer in complete sentences. Turn it in to the bin when you are done.
