Do Now Look at the picture of the cat. List three traits that describe the cat. Ex: energetic, red, brave

Aim: You are now going to create character traits for the images I project Look at the image and then list 5 character traits in a bubble chart format Character characteristic

Why are we learning this? One thing all stories have in common are…

CHARACTERS!

Every story has at least one character. To help us become better readers we must be able to identify character traits as we read using the clues in the text.

WRITING TIME! pick 1 character and 1 character trait of that character and write a paragraph that gives us three reasons why you selected this one character trait. The character in my picture is ___________(write one character trait) First of all, _________________________ (1st reason why you chose that character trait. Secondly, ____________________________ (2nd reason why you chose that character trait.)
