Family Tree

Creation Myths Uranus and Gaia had many children but some of the children became afraid of the power of THEIR children. Cronus and Rhea gave birth to many children but Cronus being scared ate them all. Rhea saved one, Zeus, and he grew up to defeat Cronus and free his brothers and sisters. Zeus than became the ruler of Olympus. He locked most of the Titans in the underworld, with an exception of a few like Atlas.

Titans The Titans were: Cronus and Rhea Oceanus and Teyhys Hyperion and Theia Coeus and Pheobe Mnemosyhe, Themis, Crius, Iapetus The Titans were known as the elder gods and they ruled during the golden age.

Heroes Jason brought back the golden fleece back to Greece. Hercules was the strongest hero and accomplished many tasks. Bellerophon defeated the chimera. Odysseus killed a cyclops, defeated many bad guys, and killed the minotaur. Perseus killed Medusa. The Greek heroes are not like Superman or Batman of today. The heroes of ancient Greece were selfish and did every thing they did for their own good.

Myths There's the Rick Riordan book series of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians, along with the classics, The Illiad and The Odyssey.
