Tuesday March 14, 2016 Does you like to “reach out and touch someone” by phone. You can thank Alexander Graham Bell! Bell was born in scotland on March 3 1847. When he was a boy, he designs a machine that cleaned wheat. Later when he was a teacher of the def, Bell developed the idea of “electronic speech.” He sent his first message to his assistant, Mr. Watson, who was in the next room always an inventor, Bells house even had simple air conditioning!

Romeo and Juliet: Act 1 Character Journals Choose your character (Romeo, Juliet, Benvolio, Mercutio, Friar Laurence, or the Nurse) Write a journal entry pretending to be that character. Summarize the major events of Act 2 through that character’s perspective. (10 points) Include one example of figurative language (underlined) (3 points) Include one vocabulary word (underlined) (3 points) Must be 16 sentences/2 paragraphs long (16 points) Worth: 32 Points
