Students will solve problems on Calorific Value . Key Concept(s) to be covered 1. Observations of Experiment to Determine Calorific Value. 2. Formula for Calculation of Gross and Net Calorific Value.

In-class Activity Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do 1.Clarification on formula. 2. Concept clarification by Think pair Share Explain the strategy by giving details of Teacher Showing a formula for calculation and ask student to think about- Q.- Difference between GCV and NCV?(2 min). Q.- How observation value can put in the formula of GCV and NCV?(2min) Teacher instruct student to form a pair and discuss about the answers of the questions.(3 min) Teacher instruct student to see whether their understanding is similar or not.(2 min) Problem will be explain in class ,and practice problem will be given on Calculation of GCV and NCV.. After solving problem again their will be peer discussion on solution of problem.

In-class Activity Explain the strategy by giving details of Students will think about the asked problem for 10 minutes. They will try to solve problem in their copy. Students will form a pair and discuss about how they solved the problem for 5 minutes. Students will share their solution and answers with peers and come to consensus for 10 minutes. Justify why the above is an Active –Learning Strategy In both the above strategies, students are required to go beyond mere listening and execution of prescribed steps. They are required to think deeply about the content they were familiarized in out-of-class and do higher order thinking. There is also feedback provided through peer discussion .
