Learning Objectives of In-Class Activity At the end of the class, students will be able to, Solve real-life scenario problems to find out the frequency of Oscillations(ANALYZE Level) Implement Basic Oscillators using different Feedback Networks (ANALYZE Level) Key Concepts to be covered Use of Expression Simplification in Real World Problem Solving. Peer Instruction Strategy – What Student Does For the questions they will first vote individually. Then they will discuss with peers and come to consensus. Students will Listen to my explanation.

TPS Strategy – What Instructor does The Inductor and Capacitor Values available are 10Micro Henry,10Micro Farad .The circuit can give stable oscillations at one particular frequency.

TPS Strategy – What Instructor does Think (~2 minutes) Instruction: Assuming that the components available are with minimum tolerance (as given in the fig), Think individually and identify the frequency of Oscillations and Discuss the other component values required.

TPS Strategy – What Instructor does Pair (~5 minutes) Instruction: Now pair up and compare your answers. Agree on one final answer. While students are pairing and discussing, instructor goes to 2~3 sections to see what they are doing. The Inductor and Capacitor Values available are 10Micro Henry,10Micro Farad. And By using the design equations they are trying to find out the other component values in the circuit.

TPS Strategy – What Instructor does Share (~8 minutes) I ask groups to share their answer with class and see whether there are different answers. After sharing is done, i give feedback on the correct solution and how minimizations using Oscillators play a major role in real life applications, like Function Generators. In the next iteration of TPS, in the Think Phase i ask students to design other oscillator to Achieve the same frequency . In the pair phase i ask students to compare the answers. In the share phase again the different answers are sought.

Justify why the above is an active learning strategy In both the above strategies, students are required to think deeply about the content they were familiarized in out-of-class and do higher order thinking. I Provided the Feedback through Summary and also from Peer Discussions

19 EVALUATION Assignment
Question: In a Specific Application, there was a need to use an Oscillator with 10Mhz.Discuss the possibilities. Dead Line for Submitting Assignment : 4 days from today Benefit of Attendance will be given for those who submit the Assignment in time.
