The Film Industry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFAC9tUlN7k The film industry is made up of film production companies, how they’re made, which actor is going to be in what film and the pre-production, post-production and distribution of all the films that are made. The Film Industry is full of employees who want to make impressive films for every audience, they all work pretty hard to complete the films that are being made. The films that are made are very expensive and the film industry puts a lot of work into them. The film industry advances in affordable film making equipment and has allowed independent production to evolve. The film industry plays a very important role in society because the films that are made by the industry usually ‘speak to’ a younger audience and influence them to do what the actors are doing in the films. Characters in films are somebody for children to look up to, e.g. The Avengers. The number one country that produces the most amount of films is India, but America has the largest number of screens and box office gross in the world. Job Roles in the Film Industry; The main job roles in the Film Industry is the Actors, without the actors you wouldn’t have a film. Actors “bring the script to life” and put a face to a character an audience has probably been trying to imagine for a while. The next most important job role in the Film Industry is the Director, because without a Director nobody would be there to tell the Actors what to do. Another important job role in the industry is an Art Director who brings all the Production Designer’s ideas to life, they create the sets that the actors and the film crew will be filming everything on. A casting director is also valued within a film crew because they are the employees who cast the Actors for the films. A concept Artist is an important factor to the film industry because their job is to come up with ideas of promotion pictures for the film, e.g. the picture of Captain America and The Winter Soldier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFAC9tUlN7k

The Film Industry Music videos are usually a contributing factor to the Film Industry, as music videos are usually made as if they were short films. Music videos always include a film crew and actors to work with the musicians. Hollywood Actors incomes must be over $8m each film they do, even if some of them are just voice overs for animated films. The skills that are needed to be in the Film Industry; Able to work in a team Able to edit, direct and possibly act Able to complete creative scripts Able to work under pressure Able to develop your creativity Able to plan and budget a film The qualifications needed to be in the film industry is a Film or Media GCSE, AS or A Level in Film or Media and either an diploma or extended diploma in Media. It would take you an estimated time of six years to get into the Film Industry after your education is completed.

The Games Development Industry Skills needed to become apart of the Games Development Industry; Video game development definition; Video game development is the making of a video game and the process behind it. Anybody could be a part of the Games Development Industry if their work is good enough. A game can be developed by one person over years or a Games Development team over months. You would need a Level 3 Games Development extended diploma to become a paid Games Developer for a company and also have a Maths & English GCSE to be employed anywhere. In America Games Developers earn over $83,000 USD in 2013, while Canadian and European based developers averaged a salary of $71,000 USD.
