He works under the direction of a director or director of photography and is sometimes supported by a camera assistant Usually follows a camera script (gives the order of shots) however on location there is open space for creativity Director Responsible for creatively translating the film's written script into actual images and sounds on the screen - he or she must visualize and define the style and structure of the film, then act as both a storyteller and team leader to bring this vision to reality Directors inspire and motivate the team to produce the film they have envisioned. The also have extensive understanding of the entire filmmaking process, from both technical and creative points of view Editor Assembles footage of feature films, television shows, documentaries, and industrials into a seamless end product. The also manipulate plot, score, sound, and graphics to refine the overall story into a continuous and enjoyable whole. Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee, and Robert Wise are a few of the directors who work with the same Editors over and over again Production Designer Responsible for the entire art department. They play a crucial role in helping directors to achieve the film's visual requirements, and in providing producers with carefully calculated schedules which offer viable ways of making films within agreed budgets and specified periods of time.

3 Compositor Compositors work in most areas of animation and post production. They are responsible for constructing the final image by combining layers of previously created material. Although it is primarily a 2D role within the 3D world of CGI and VFX (Visual Effects), Compositors need a thorough understanding of the CG process combined with relevant artistic skills. They receive material from various sources which could include rendered computer animation, special effects, graphics, 2D animation, live action, static background plates, etc. Their job is to creatively combine all the elements into the final image, ensuring that the established style of the project is respected and continuity is maintained. To achieve this they enhance the lighting, match blacks and other color levels, add grain where required, add motion blur (if appropriate), create convincing shadows and make sure levels combine together seamlessly, keying, rotoscoping and creating mattes where necessary.

4 Management Roles Creative jobs This type of job consists for an person to review the work of other staff. People that have this type of roles also organise time and think on new ways for workers to be more productive. The abilities asked from this people are that they can communicated with worker well and work great in an team. Examples of this jobs included Set designer that create the overall look of a theatre, television or film production. Examples included an Camera operator that is expected to understand the functions of an camera and how to achieve different looks of an shots and it has an job of capturing the action occurring on set, while Lighting director takes charge of the lighting equipment and controls the lighting quality and style in the set accordingly to what is asked off him This type of job occurs mostly in the print industry and those employed are expected to have great communicational skills. This positions involve mostly checking trough work in case it is needs changes and at the end bring all together for the final media product. Example included Newspaper Editor that review journalist pieces for the newspaper and decide what will be shown in the final piece and cut anything not relevant while TV editor review shows and news and modifies to be sensitive towards the audience being presented to, creating the final piece

6 Research jobs Financial jobs This type of job involve people that have the purpose of generating profit for the organisation that they work for. They take charge of the budget, checking every area where it is spend like new projects. Examples of this jobs included an Producer that supervises of the making of the film so that then present the result to an investor or possible distributor. Production accountant takes control of financial and management of budgets of production. This type of jobs involve people working in all areas(pre-production, production and post- production) that contributes ideas for programmes, sources contacts and contributors; collects, verifies and prepares information for film, television and radio productions. People employed in this roles are expected to listen and understand the instructions given to them and work great as an time. Examples could include Programme researcher that search for information to everything that will happen during the programme such as who will be interviewed, the location, if the film crew will fit, if the budget will stretch

7 Organizational jobs Administrative jobs This type of jobs involve an high level of control over an group of people. This roles require people to organise teams putting in charge of positioning of items or people and make sure everyone has a job on set or working within a production. Examples included production assistant that support the producer and is responsible for the administration and organisation involved in producing a film or TV programme. Casting director as main goal to find actors who fit the director's artistic vision, and is in charge of organizing callbacks. This type of jobs involve an implementing of a major decision.
