Monday 10/9 AGENDA Write Learning Goal Bell Ringer I did – all notes We do – review/kahoot You do – study, finish INB

Learning Goal and Bell Ringer (p 49) Monday 10/9 Benchmark SC.912.L.18.1: Identify basic molecular structures and describe the primary functions of the four major categories of biological macromolecules, including: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids Bell Ringer What are the macromolecules? Which monomer matches up? Learning Goal (multiple this week) I will be able to identify and describe how enzymes function. I will be able to identify and describe macromolecules including: carb, nucleic acids, lipids, proteins. Learning Goal Monday Tuesday Friday Thursday Weekly Prefixes

Table of Contents Cover Page Bell Ringer 9/25-9/29 Macromolecule Lab Macromolecules Chart Cornell Notes Macromolecules ~Chemistry Macromolecules Worksheet Cornell Notes Carbohydrates (summary) Mini Lipid Lab Cornell Notes Lipids (summary) Macromolecule Lab Cornell Notes Proteins + Nucleic Acids Macromolecule Foldable Cornell Notes Proteins + Nucleic Acids (summary) Enzyme Worksheet Bell Ringer 10/2-10/6 Enzyme Lab Cornell Notes Enzyme (summary)

Friday 10/6 Exit Kahoot Test Make Up – Before or After School Add in pages to TOC Finish working on enzyme lab follow up questions Highlight notes – Write note summary Test Tuesday!!! Notebook check!

Tuesday 10/10 AGENDA I did – all notes We do – review, bell ringer  TEST DAY We do – turn in INB You do – Take the Test

Wednesday 10/11 AGENDA NO class  PSAT and SAT (Testing)

Thursday 10/12 AGENDA Write Learning Goal Bell Ringer You do – cell theory timeline

Learning Goal and Bell Ringer (p 49) Thursday 10/12 Benchmark SC.912.L.14.1 – Describe the scientific theory of cells (cell theory) and relate the history of its discovery to the process of science Bell Ringer What is a cell? Learning Goal (multiple this week) I will be able to identify and explain the three parts of the cell theory I will be able to explain the history of the cell theory and identify key scientist. Learning Goal Monday Tuesday Friday Thursday Weekly Prefixes

Directions for today!!! You need to be seated in your assigned seat for attendance. After attendance get your science (Interactive Notebook INB) from the side lab table. There are notecards above the stacks so please keep them neat and not make a mess. As for today you need to work on the “Cell Theory” timeline from the papers printed out. Place this on place on page 50 in your INB. (yes you skipped pages they will get filled in and will make sense when I can explain tomorrow) Use the tape throughout the room and coloring tools from the 3rd drawer. If you finish early you are to work on Unit 2 (Macromolecule) make up work. Along with that, I will be in the building and back for 5-7 so you can come after school for help on grades. Since I am in the building, I can stop in any moment.

Thursday 10/12 Exit Finish Cell Theory Timeline Make up work Tomorrow is the last day of the unit, quarter grades are being finalized.

Friday 10/13 AGENDA Write Learning Goal Bell Ringer I do – cell theory notes We do – outline the unit You do – cell theory timeline, test make up

Learning Goal and Bell Ringer (p 49) Friday 10/13 Benchmark SC.912.L.14.1 – Describe the scientific theory of cells (cell theory) and relate the history of its discovery to the process of science Bell Ringer What is a tool that helps scientist look at small objects? What about far away objects? Learning Goal (multiple this week) I will be able to identify and explain the three parts of the cell theory I will be able to explain the history of the cell theory and identify key scientist. Learning Goal Monday Tuesday Friday Thursday Weekly Prefixes

Cell Theory Notes will be taken through the ted talks video!! After the video on your notes you will take the mini ted talk quiz.

Friday 10/13 Exit Finish Cell Theory Timeline Test Corrections Make up work Quarter Grades end today
