Technical and tactical skills POSITIVE COACHING SCOTLAND COACHING THE WHOLE CHILD The foundation of successful coaching is creating a positive learning environment, along with a positive culture that develops young people.   To create this learning environment all the key influencers in a young person’s development must be involved: coaches, parents, club leaders and teachers. Mastery coaching is unique in developing young people in three distinct ways: Physically Socially Psychologically Traditional coaching tends to focus on the physical attributes of young people, sometimes with some attention given to psychological but rarely includes the development of social skills. Mastery coaching is unique in developing young people covering all three attributes: Physically    Physical attributes Health and fitness Technical and tactical skills Socially    Behaviour & attitude Values Character Psychologically    Mental skills Learning Concentration Rate this tool!
