Researched the impact of parental motivation vs coaching motivation on young athletes’ self-esteem, performance anxiety, and autonomous motivation: Who is more influential? RESULTS – Parent-initiated motivation was a significant predictor of self-esteem, trait anxiety, and autonomous motivation at end of season over and above coach-initiated motivation.

Growing up in Seattle my development in these 5 key areas was nurtured not only through my family and education but also my athletic experiences in soccer, basketball & track. Traveling around the country to compete & winning 5 national titles in track before graduating HS offered invaluable cultural exposure and education. I aspire to provide the same enrichment to my children.
