3 CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY Clinical Psychologist Psychiatrist
Description: analyze, identify, treat, and prevent mental disorders Job Responsibilities: Help their clients identify, understand and resolve both common and more serious mental disorders Psychiatrist Description: very similar to a clinical psychologist, though they are in charge of treating disorders. (Prescribe medication)

4 CHILD | DEVELOPMENTAL | SCHOOL
Child Psychologist: in charge of studying, analyzing, and diagnosing social and emotional development of children Developmental Psychologist: aim to study and understand human social and emotional growth over time. School Psychologist: work with students, parents and teachers to enhance the learning development of children--Our guests will go into further detail!!

Cognitive Psychology: investigates the mechanisms behind thought Study sensation, perception, processing, retrieval, learning, etc. Specialize in memory, language, attention, problem-solving, disabilities Work in universities, research centers, rehabilitation, hospitals Neuropsychology: focuses on the brain & nervous system’s structures and functions Study influence on cognition and behaviors, impact of illness or injury Work in universities, research centers, & clinical settings (assessments & diagnoses, collaboration with doctors/surgeons)

6 SOCIAL | HEALTH Social Psychology: understand how social influences impact human behavior Impact feelings, behavior, and thoughts in group settings Specialize in social perception, social interaction, attitudes, aggression, communication, prejudice, interpersonal relationships, etc. Primarily work in universities, research centers Health Psychology: how behavior, biology, and social context influence illness & health Doctors look at biological part of disease, but health psychologists go beyond that to focus on the whole person & how different aspects influence their health Work in clinical settings in collaboration with medical professionals; conduct research
